Amateur Radio Examination Opportunities in the South Bay

In 1984, the FCC handed off Amateur Radio licensing examinations to Volunteer Examiner Coordinator (VEC) organizations in order to allow the tests to be more frequent and held in more places. (You used to have to go to the FCC office in San Francisco for all exams.) The VECs organize local exam sessions and accredit the Volunteer Examiners (VEs) who run the sessions.

There are currently 15 VEC organizations. Two of them offer regularly-scheduled Amateur Radio exams in the South Bay Area.
