pathalias computes the shortest paths between all sites
sitename.sbay.org is the same on Internet and UUCP UUCP sites get a list of the shortest paths to everyone else This can detect if the fastest path between sites uses the Internet or not Some Internet participants are willing to be dynamically assigned as an MX host for UUCP hosts. These sites are called "points of entry". UUCP sites which can handle upstream and downstream feeds are "hubs". UUCP sites with only one neighbor are "leaf nodes". Most non-Unix BBS sites are leaf nodes. |
